Vic Wild is to Russians, what a Russian bride is to Americans. He was the American lad who switched nationalities to Russia after he married fellow snowboarder Alena Zavarzina. He went on to win double gold in the parallel grand slalom and the parallel slalom at Sochi and Alena won bronze in the parallel giant slalom. Now they are Russia's golden couple and since the Olympics they've starred in a multitude of awesome photo opportunities. Here's what's been going on...

The world's of snowboarding and snowmobiling have a lot in common, beyond the common wish that we'd both thought of more succinct names for our activities when they were invented. However both things come from very different backgrounds which keeps the cultures distinct in a few very specific ways. Because snowmobiling harks from the world of motoring it does have the unfortunate propensity to embrace a few things snowboarding wouldn't touch, like the use of shitty graphics, the addiction to three letter acronyms and what we're looking at today, the objectification of women. To demonstrate that difference let's take a look at the output of Snowmobile Calenders. Maybe this is the real reason why Jeremy Jones chooses to walk everywhere...

In our ongoing quest to categorise the internet of snowboarding, this week we've pulled together 18 of the best snowboard event posters we can find. It turns out that half of them are for banked slaloms, a huge over-representation of a type of event that makes up just a dinky proportion of all snowboarding events....

The other day we stumbled across what could possibly be one of the most inane snowboard blog posts ever. A company called Custom Ink, in an attempt to drum up some orders for their t-shirt printing business, decided to produce an inspiration list of skiing and snowboarding phrases that people could have on their shitty matching vacation t-shirts. Take a look. They've managed to think-up some of the blandest and worst possible t-shirt slogans that are perfect examples of the sort of inane shit you see around ski resorts or chocking up your Facebook. We thought we'd see if it was possible to take this truly uninspiring list and turn them into something even remotely creative...

The big news of the 2014/15 season isn't the fact that Vans have messed up and won't be able to deliver their snowboard boots, or that Yobeat have redesigned their site to look a little more like this one; no the big news is that this year sees the much-anticipated launch of Goggle GraffitiTM...

I ran across this graphic design portfolio and it needs to be shared. It's got all the standard features of a designer's portfolio; magazine covers, logos, and plenty of example of Photoshopping, but it's the quality of the product that's amazing...

Moments after the first person invented the pointless baby on board sticker, someone else invented the mirth-free baby on board parody sticker. Just a few moments after that, some other japester put this trend and snowboarding together to invent a new version - the entirely literal baby on board parody. Now there's a veritable smorgasbord of options for anyone who is determined to inform all of the motoring world that they're a dick. Let's take a look at the options...

During Vancouver the medical staff kept a record of all the injuries suffered by the competitors. Turns out, to no one's surprise, that snowboard cross is by far the most dangerous winter Olympic sport. Over a third of the riders were injured at some point and they were twice as likely to get injured compared to competitors any other event...

Like snowboarding, art is nominally a subjective medium, but like slopestyle and the halfpipe that doesn't prevent people from trying to judge it. Today we've amassed the poster art from the history of the Winter Olympics so that we can all practice for the Olympics by having a good topical judge. See what you think...
